March 2008
I really haven't felt like doing a diary entry these last couple of months.

To tell the truth its all been a bit depressing. I said in the Comic a few weeks back that I was not about to go and hang myself over the fact that Astana were not selected for the Tour, that's true. But that fact is only a tiny part of the whole saga, which is the pro bike scene today.

Another reason I have not made an entry is because I think my views might land me in the shit. So I keep most of it to myself.

Anyway, at the moment I am down here in Spain at the Vuelta Ciclista Castilla y Leon. Where we are currently leading with Alberto, who did a stunning ride in the prologue TT to beat one of the worlds best in that discipline Levi Leiphiemer.

We have a couple of flatish stages to deal with before Thursday's summit finish where all being well Alberto should put the GC beyond doubt.

Its great to be with this team, a team of guys who love riding their bikes, a team that will do everything in their power to defend the jersey. Ok, its not the TDF, but that's not the only bike race on the planet, despite the French thinking that is the case.

The French, don't start me on that one please. Thank God for the English Channel. As the mother of one of my good friends said "God put the Channel their for a reason" we were talking about the channel tunnel at the time. She did not think it was a good idea.

In the meantime my day rides and coaching services are still available.

Until next time.
Keep enjoying the bike, and keep the faith.
